If someone asked you right now if you are having thoughts of suicide, what would your honest answer be?
If you answer 'yes' or ‘sometimes’ this is probably a very difficult time for you. You don't need to go through this alone. It's important that you find someone to help. This web site does not provide counselling, but you do have choices. You can:
- Reach out to someone you trust and ask for help. Tell them honestly how you feel, including your thoughts of suicide
- In Australia, call Lifeline 13 11 14
- If you are outside Australia, look up and call your nearest Crisis Centre or Suicide Helpline in the phone book. Or you could check out the Befrienders International web site for guidance and information about contacts in many countries.
Remember, suicide is never the only option.
